Universal Oil Company does Oil Filtration on-line in a by-pass mode. The pressure and flow rate of the systems are not disturbed. The oil filtration is done in the tank of a system only. This is called On- Line Filtration in a by pass mode. The filter hose is connected to the drain pipe and after filtration of oil, filtered oil is returned to the top of the tank.

Benefits of on line filtration are:

The contamination is removed from the entire system, including sludge from the bottom
The production must carry on, as filtration is being done. As the clean oil goes into the system it attracts dirt and brings it to the tank, where it is removed by UOC filtration
As the system is getting cleaner, less wear and tear will occur in the components submerged in oil including pump bearings etc.
